Kavaleer and Max films join forces to bring Mr. Tayto to life!

Ireland’s top snack food brand Tayto is running a new TV, cinema and social media campaign to promote its theme park Tayto Park in Co Meath. The pacey commercial sees Mr. Tayto taking on the high ropes, tackling the totem pole and braving the park’s furred and feathered attractions. The iconic crisps character is blended into a live action CGI mix. Check out the clip below…

Largo Foods, the company behind Tayto, has returned to LA-based Challenge Entertainment (creators of the controversial rugby ads for Hunky Dorys) to make the commercial. The creative director was David Kirwan & Tayto’s marketing manager is Rita Kirwan. It was co-produced by Jackie Leonard and Gary Timpson of Kavaleer Productions and Maxine Brady of Max films. The commercial was directed by Feidhlimidh Woods, 3D animation was by Conor Ryan & rendering by Zink. Post production was by Windmill Lane, with Locky Butler in charge of sound. Music was by Steven Rennicks and Hugh Drumm at Sponge.
